The Telangana State Level Police Recruitment Board (TGPRB) has published notification Rc No. 188/Rect./Rect.-2/2026 for the recruitment of Stipendiary Cadet Trainee (SCT) Sub Inspectors (SI) across Civil, AR, SAR CPL, TSSP, SPF, Fire, and Prison departments in Telangana.

Eligibility Criteria & Physical Standards
1. Educational Qualification
Candidates must hold a Degree recognized by the UGC or State Government on or before 29th July 2026. (SC/ST candidates must have passed Intermediate and appeared for Degree exam).
2. Age Limit (as on 01-07-2026)
21 to 25 years for General/Open categories. Upper age relaxation of 5 years applies to SC, ST, BC, and EWS candidates.
3. Physical Standards & PMT / PET Events
- Height (Men): 167.6 cm (160 cm for Agency ST) | Height (Women): 152.5 cm (150 cm for Agency ST)
- 1600m Run (Men): Complete in 7 minutes 15 seconds
- 800m Run (Women): Complete in 5 minutes 20 seconds
Selection Process
- Preliminary Written Test (PWT): Paper-I (Arithmetic/Reasoning) & Paper-II (General Studies) - 200 Marks total.
- Physical Measurement Test (PMT) & Physical Efficiency Test (PET).
- Final Written Examination (FWE): 4 Papers (English, Telugu/Urdu, Arithmetic & Reasoning, General Studies).
- Document Verification & Final Medical Exam.

- OC & BC Candidates: ₹1,200 per application
- SC & ST Candidates (Local to Telangana): ₹600 per application
